Gerry & Phil often kept our Yorkie when we traveled. Gerry taught us the cutest phrase; when walking your dog, just remember that your dog is "reading the newspaper" as he stops and sniffs over and over again! We were always impressed with Gerry's vivaciousness; whether in her comments or her jokes. Gerry was always bright and involved in any discussion. She was also a woman of elegance; she dressed for any event with poise and distinction. We loved her "joie de vivre. May God enjoy her company as much as we did.

Though we never had the pleasure of meeting or getting to know Gerry, we have come to imagine what a wonderful lady she was, through our friendship with her daughter Clare. She and her husband Tom exemplify spiritual warmth, class and good times that we have learned were all part of Gerry's persona. May she rest now and forever in the arms of the Lord with our heartfelt condolences to Clare, Tom and the family.

Words are not enough to express how I feel about Gerry. I loved her very much. She accepted me faults and all! She gave me unconditional love. She was like a second mother to me. Her loss has left a huge void in my heart! I will truly miss her warm smile, her laughter, her stories, and the way you could tell what she was thinking just by the way she said, "Okay". I am so thankful to Clare and the rest of her family for sharing her with me. I shall always cherish the times I spent with her.

The beautiful Observer picture of Gerry captured my heart today. She and Phil were my parents neighbors when they first came to Charlotte. They were such a delight ! I recall Gerry was so very kind to my Mother. I left for college and they later left Charlotte. Touch was lost but not forgotten. Please accept my love and Sincere Sympathy to all the family.
