Gladys Cooke

Gladys Taylor Cooke, 86, formerly of Evelyn Road, Easley, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at Westside Nursing Center. She was the widow of Wilbur Ralph Cooke, Sr. and was an employee of Piedmont Industries for 35 years. Mrs. Cooke was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving are granddaughters, Kimberly Capps of Lyman, Diane Woodring and husband, Danny, of Liberty, and Joan Capps of Lyman; grandsons, Dean Cooke and wife, Lisa, of Jacksonville, FL, Jeff Capps and wife, Donna, of Easley and Norman Capps and wife, Shelby of Greer; and eight great-grandchildren.. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Morgan; a son, Wilbur Ralph Cooke, Jr., and a brother, Frank Taylor. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery, West. Family members are at their respective homes.
