Gladys Yokel, 89, wife of Irving Yokel, died Saturday, May 13, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Sarah Brettschneider.
Mrs. Yokel was a past member of Temple of Israel.
She treasured her family and they in turn cherished the time they spent with her. Her family was her pride and joy. She was dearly loved.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, David Yokel (Beth); two daughters, Jeri Bernstein (Jim) and Karen Jolles (Scott); seven grandchildren, Leah Kelley (Marc), Joshua Yokel (Lauren), Seth Yokel (Marisa), Peter Bernstein (Emily), Lauren Bernstein (Brian), Rachel Jolles, and Philip Jolles; four great-grandchildren, Sienna Kelley, Ruby and Jace Bernstein, and Reid Goldman; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Brettschneider.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Yokel was preceded in death by a brother, Irwin Brettschneider.
The Graveside Service will be Monday, May 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Beth Israel Cemetery, Greenville, SC.
