Grace Henson

Grace Curtis Henson, beloved wife of 67 years to Dr. Joseph L. Henson, Sr., peacefully passed from this world to her eternal home in Heaven on Friday, November 6, 2020. She was 88 years old and a resident of Greenville, SC.

Born in Thomson, GA, she was a daughter of the late Winton S. and Grace Pate Curtis. Grace ministered to countless students and others, as a music faculty member at Bob Jones University, as well as with her cakes and catering for many wedding receptions.

In addition to her husband, Dr. Joseph L. Henson, her memories are forever cherished by her sons, Joseph L. Henson, Jr. and his wife, Garthea and James (Jay) Henson and his wife, June; four grandchildren and spouses, Joseph and Kristi, Garth and Becky, Jessica, Jennifer and Daniel (Simpson); and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Agnew Road Baptist Church, 400 Rainbow Dr., Greenville, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont. The funeral home is Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel.
