Mrs. Helen M. Whittington, 71, went home to Glory May, 12, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Bertha Trammell Wardlaw and was the widow of Eugene Allen Whittington. Mrs. Whittington was retired from Pendleton Manor and was of the Baptist faith. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cathy Whittington. Visitation will be Friday May 14, 2004 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be Saturday May 15, 2004 at 1:30 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home.
