My family and I lived next door to the Pike family for many of my growing up years in Mt. Juliet, TN. Wonderful neighbors and I always enjoyed hearing about Randall's crusades. I am so sorry for your loss but rejoice that Randall is with our Lord in heaven.
Donna Robertson Nolen left a message on June 6, 2023:
A true faithful servant and saint of God has left us. Randall's parents became our next door neighbors and through the years I was privileged to meet Randall, Addien and family and his brothers and sister. Randall would write to my Dad about his work in the mission field. I would sit, transfixed, as he shared from his heart about his love of Jesus and his unwavering sharing of the gospel. He was bold and he was also kind and humble. My prayers go out the family.
Natanya Steyn left a message on May 3, 2023:
I met Uncle Randy at Kempton Park Bible Church when I was a young girl. At a time when church could be “boring”, his services kept me enraptured. He was dynamic and brilliant, but humble and kind. I was blessed to be baptised by him, and remember the impact he had in my life, at a time when I really needed it. Rest in Peace Uncle Randy.
David Isbell left a message on April 3, 2023:
I met Bro Randy in South Africa in the early eighties. He preached for us at the church my wife and I started in Kempton Park. He was an encouragement to us as we were just getting started in mission work there. Recently we were able to reconnect. It was a blessing to hear from him and to hear his encouraging voice again. We pray for his wife and family at this time. May our Lord bless and comfort you all. David and Cathy Isbell Shepherds Watchmen, Inc.

Bro. Randy Pike came to our church, Sharon Baptist Cumming, Ga., many years ago. He was such a blessing to me. He sent me a copy of his book Suffering & Death The Saint’s Highest Calling. Along with the book he sent a letter with a sweet note written on it. He is truly a hero in Christ. I look forward to seeing him again one day.? I am attaching a copy of the letter. My condolences to you Mrs. Addien. Love in Christ, Diane Grizzle

Michael Miller left a message on March 28, 2023:
Dr. Pike mentored my father, Tony Miller, and for this I will always be grateful. What a remarkable man of God! I used Dr. Pike's harmony commentary on the Gospels (Selah) more than any other resource in my research for my dissertation. He knew how to combine the theological and practical in a way that is almost unrivaled. The world was not worthy of him (Heb. 11:38). Grateful he is finally Home! Our love and prayers for sweet Mrs. Pike.

God left many of Dr. Pike's spiritual fingerprints all over the globe. He made an impact on my life in his later years. We reminisced about ministry in Africa, where he served, and where I was born. I will miss his mentoring. With each opportunity I spent with him, I came away with another perspective of the Lord Jesus and the Word of God. In his excruciating pain, he nudged people closer to the cross. He did not live in vain.

Coby and I were still young in the faith when Randy and Addien come to Bez Valley Baptist in South Africa in the early 1970's. They both made a lasting impact on our walk in the faith since then. He was a powerful preacher in the pulpit, yet gentle and meek as a lamb out of it, following our Lord's example. He motivated us to study God's word and live it out. Many were the happy experiences in their home. Addien was a supportive wife and companion and also taught us much. He is now with the Lord as he had long longed for, enjoying his reward for a rich faithful life. One day we will meet him again at the Benjamin gate. "Well done thou good and faithful servant.......enter thou into the joy of the Lord."

Dear Addien and Pike family, The Crockett family is blessed to have known Randy for almost 8 years. Both Randy and Addien are so pleasant to be around. It was always lovely being in your home. Rosemary cooked the most delicious meal for us when we first moved to Greenville. You opened your home to us multiple times and were always so generous to us. My girls and I have fond memories of card making with Addien. We loved seeing Randy on these occasions and hearing his words of encouragement. His love and admiration for Addien was always so evident as well as his deep love for the Lord. It was always a blessing to be in your home. Thank you for sharing with us these last 8 years. We will greatly miss Randy. We love you, Addien, and we believe Randy's words admitting that you are the best Christian he knew. Love, The Crocketts

Thank you God for Mr. Pike! Heaven alone will reveal the extent of Mr. and Mrs. Pikes influence around the world. I remember in 1991 as a nineteen-year-old how Mr. Pike prayed for and with me as I received Christ as my Saviour in his dear friend Sid Hunters house. Both the Pikes and Hunters were friends of my Grandparent starting in Yarwun, QLD the 1960's and spoke of these men and their wives with great fondness. My parents and my wife and I have had the privilege to sit under their ministry too. Every time I'd talk with Mr. Pike on the phone, he'd always be full of questions about how I or my family was going. If you ever would ask him how he was, he would change the subject if you weren't careful. I've noticed Mrs. Pike does the same too. Theirs is one of the few marriages I've seen where you could clearly see they were hopelessly deeply in love, sweethearts, as well as best friends! Their love for Christ and lost souls amazing! Truly the memory of the just is blessed! God bless and keep you at this time Mrs. Pike! Thank you for your love and labours beside your exceptionally special husband. Your influence here goes on strongly, and I'm sure as it is in many places around the world. Love you, Dave Holowaty.

Hamba kahle / Farewell Bro Randy and condolences to the family, Indeed a saint has gone home and with great fondness realise our gracious Lord had providentially brought Bro Randy across our path for His eternal purposes; when I was in a mess, after years in the Rhodesian military and then without direction in a strange land, namely; South Africa. Bro Randy and Sister Addien have been such an encouragement and inspiration to our family over many years. I recall many years back visiting Pigeon Forge and met Pastor Ed Parton, whom picking up on my accent enquired if I had heard of Missionary Randy Pike. What astonishment when relating that I came to faith in The Saviour during his message preached in September 1983, entitled "The Cross of Jesus Christ and how your sin put him there!" Shared this from my Pulpit yesterday. A tribute to a Saint we don't deserve. Jamieson family; Ian, Cynthia, Lauren and Lindsay. Missionaries in the U.K.

Farewell, Bro. Randy. We shall meet again! God, so providentially, used you in my life. From your first glimpse of me playing ‘cops and robbers’ around the church building and loving me, despite my teenage rebellion, later giving me those sobering words from 2 Timothy 2:3 as I headed overseas for training and ministry, and then in 2001, travelling to be present for my ordination to the gospel ministry. And so many other wonderful memories! My four children were visibly moved and affected when I brought them to visit you and Addien in Greenville, SC. I salute you, faithful soldier of Jesus Christ!

Our love and condolences go out to Aidine and the whole family. Tom and Bro Randy grew up together in Mt Juliet, TN. Tom remembers the two of them hopping a freight train in their teenage years to go to Texas to work in the wheat harvest. I (Ruth) remember meeting them for the first time when they spent a night or two with us in CA on their way to Australia. I fell in love with that family and wanted to go to Australia with them. Dearest Mrs Pike, You and Mr Pike are family to me. We will always stick by you, although I'm halfway across the globewe are right there with you. God was good to your husband, to send him such a woman as you. I cant forget the huge smile on your face, as Mr Pike preached. Its embedded in my memory. I thank God for your service, you and Randy are an inspiration to me, and many other lives you touched here in Australia. Ill never forget the first time I heard Mr Pike preach in 1990 at Good Shepherd Baptist church, Australia. I was an 8 year old boy, normally quite bored in church wishing I was outside. As he made his way to the pulpit andwalked up 3 stairs he already had my undivided attention -  even before I heard him preach for the first time.  After being with Randy for just 2 years of my life, I can honestly say thatthis obituary is the least that could be said about him. He had a profound effect on my christian walk. Randy is one of only a couple of men I look up to, he ran his race and stayed faithful to God till the very end, even in the face of suffering, he onlyloved Jesus more and more. He was humble but strong, kind but unrelenting. Ill never forget how good he and Mrs Pike madeus kids feel, especially when talking to them one on one. I wont forget it. Even at 41 years old, I remember like it was yesterday. In one or more of his recent messages, he said he would go out of this world preaching the gospel. And he did.How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel? No man is good, but God alone. But as far as men go, Mr Pike was as good as they come. The last words Randy ever spoke to me when I was 10 years old were;  "Ross, you stay right next to Jesus"And I'm almost certain that his last words to everybody reading this would be to "Give somebody a gospel tract" Thank you Mr and Mrs Pike for your dedication.  Love  Mandy, Jade, Ross, Kimberley, Alina and Ross Snr

Michael & Sharlotte McGary left a message on March 18, 2023:
Dear Addien & Children, Bro Randy was the greatest teacher we have ever sat under. We sat at his feet each Tuesday soaking up his knowledge of the Scriptures. We sat spellbound for an hour and it came to an end before we were ready. What started out as one man and his wife asking if they could come and learn about the Bible, grew until there were up to 25 who were blessed by his teaching. He made the Bible come alive. He was so kind and loving. We came to him for advice, we came with our sorrows, and he would always counsel us from the Word of God. The women would bring treats and Addien was always there making her famous iced tea. We were so blessed! This went on for about 3 years, until Bro. Randy felt he was losing some ground, and he was worried he might not present God’s Word correctly. We will never forget the last lesson he taught. Paul was soon to die and he wrote to the best friend he ever had, Timothy. Then he began to teach, “A sower went out to sow” and he encouraged us all to sow the seed. Thank you, Addien, for your hospitality and loving spirit for all that time. How beautiful Heaven must be…I can imagine Bro Randy kicking up his heels and leaping from the streets of gold, Yippee! Hallelujah! We love you! Michael “The” and Sharlotte McGary

There was nothing special about my family, why he took notice of us. But he and his dear wife, “Nana”, loved us, ministered to us, inspired my desire for missions, and led me to Christ when I was 10 years old. He marked 2 Timothy 2:3 in my Bible and it was a verse that carried me through my childhood and adolescent years. Many years later when I saw him for what would be my last time on earth, he gave me another verse that I clung to throughout my waiting years: Psalm 27:14. Memories flash back: watching him work his way on crutches into the pulpit every Sunday morning, him teaching me about baptism at their dining room table, peeking in a room where I watched him say goodbye to their Kentucky home (where my family had met and known him for three years). This man who had served God faithfully through utmost suffering, who had preached all over the world and ministered to thousands of people, still had time for an insignificant little girl. I remember sitting in his van with him once as a kid, expressing my grief over the street children in Brazil and my desire to be a missionary to them. But I was worried that by the time I grew up, there would no longer be a need for me. I remember his voice as he said “they will only need it more”. I’ve never made it to Brazil to help those children. Maybe, hopefully, some day. But I am trying to teach my own children about Jesus in the meantime. God used this faithful man to give me the greatest gift in teaching me about God, and I feel a responsibility to carry it on. I am thankful and honored to have known Pastor Pike and to have been one of the ones to have called him “Papa”. As sad as it feels to know his presence is no longer on this earth, I am so overjoyed to know he is no longer and never will be in any more pain. After a lifetime of suffering, what inexplicable joy he must be experiencing in the presence of his beloved Lord. My kids were asking me about “impossible” today, what it means. “Impossible” is a suffering paraplegic faithfully carrying the Gospel for decades upon decades all over the world…But God.

For nearly the entire 30 years of my life, Pastor Pike has been an influence on my parents. Right now, I am reading “Selah!” at night, as I remember my dad doing. And riding in the car, I listen to recorded sermons that, while I’m sure I heard them when I was a child, carry so much more meaning now as an adult. Receiving his prayer letters signed “his happy slaves, camping at the foot of the cross” placed such an emphasis on the hope that awaits beyond this world. While I only witnessed his ministry firsthand as a child, his teaching and service continue to echo throughout my life and now the lives of my children.

It was an absolute honor to meet Mr. Pike this past year, and to hear some of his stories from his time on the mission field. Despite it being many years later, his eyes still welled up with tears easily as he recalled the brothers and and sisters in Christ he had known during his time there. He was a tender-hearted, yet strong man who passionately loved Christ and as a result, loved people well. I know he will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family.
