Irene Sullivan Holliday, 88, of Greenville, wife of the late Charles Manley Holliday, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
Born in Travelers Rest, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Vivian Watson Sullivan.
Irene was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star, Sam Poe Lodge 123. She retired from Care Givers On Demand in January of 2019 after working in the retail industry for a number of years.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynn H. Lister and son-in-law Ken, and Pamela H. Owens; five grandchildren, Amanda Crenshaw and husband Ted, Laura Simpson and husband Josh; Brock Lister and wife Miranda, Shawn Owens and Justin Owens; seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Kaitlyn, and Logan Simpson, Claire and Camille Crenshaw, Peyton and Sheldon Lister; sister, Doris Ann Ross and brother-in-law Bill; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her longtime companion Bill Holcombe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Ray Sullivan and Freddie Wade Sullivan; and son-in-law Mike Owens.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest at 6710 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611 with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
