Isabel Soares DaSilva

Isabel S. DaSilva, age 96, passed away in Greer, SC on March 1, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Domingos and Ana Soares Carinha, and widow of Domingos J. DaSilva, who passed away in 1993.

Born in Indiana, Isabel was raised in Portugal, returned to the US in 1940 and lived in Naugatuck, CT until her relocation to SC in 2009. She was a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi in CT and at St. Mary Magdalene in SC.

Isabel is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Rendeiro; granddaughter, Michele (Kenneth) McConnell; two great-grandsons, Robert and Michael (who called her Vo Bel), all of Greer; nephew, nieces, cousins and friends.

She was also predeceased by her infant daughter, son-in-law Nick Rendeiro, her brother and sister-in-law Angelo and Mary Soares, and half-siblings Jose Carinha and Rosa Carinha.

The family requests that donations be made in Isabel's memory to Greer Community Ministries, Box 1373, Greer, SC 29652, or to St. Francis Church Building Fund, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770.

Funeral services were held in Naugatuck, CT.
