Jack Cochran, 86, husband of Bernice Cochran, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 18, 2021.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late R.D. and Gladys Mahaffey Cochran.
Mr. Cochran graduated from Furman University and then proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a tender-hearted Christian who was a master story teller and loved to share jokes. He owned and operated Jack Cochran’s Used Car Lot for 68 years. In his free time, Mr. Cochran enjoyed riding his motorcycle, was a dedicated rider at Daytona Beach Bike Week, and loved attending AMA Flat Track Racing. Jack was also a racecar driver and raced with his beloved race car, #10 Orange Crush.
In addition to his loving wife of 35 years, he is survived by children, Sandra Henry, Lisa Phillips (Kevin), Denise Boiter, and Timothy Crawford; grandchildren, Terry Crawford, David White, Crystal Jordan, Melissa Henry, David Lindsey, Dustin Snow, Alisha Holder, Justin Phillips, Courtney Boiter, Kelsea Boiter, and Candice Crawford; numerous great grandchildren; niece, Carolyn Hinson; great niece, Paula Payton; great nephew, Mark McWhite; and fur baby, Casey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Louise Cochran; and fur baby, Spike.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 21, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
