James Ernest Jones, 79, of 2240 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA, formerly of Greenville, died July 1, 2004. Born in Greenville, he was the son of Jesse Ernest and Rosa Myrtle Fox Jones. Before his retirement, he was a self-employed barber. Surviving are very close friends, Rev. William Lloyd Edmond and the Edmond family. Mr. Jones was the last surviving member of his family. Visitation will be held from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family is at the home of Rev. & Mrs. Lloyd Edmond, 110 Brooke Lee Circle, Taylors.
