James W Bond, 92, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Henry and Rosa Seabolt Bond.
Mr. Bond was a member of Washington Avenue Church of God. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Bond was the USPS Post Master of Conastee for 24 years and the Chief Bailliff at the Greenville County Court House for 26 years. He was a Hejaz Shriner and member of Wade Hampton Masonic Lodge #404. He enjoyed square dancing and loved his family and spending time with them.
He is survived by daughter-in-law Victoria Bond; five grandchildren, Bridget Myers (Brad), Frank Boiter, Mandy Crum (Brad), Sandy Bond and Michelle Rogers.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise Bond in 2017; a sister, Bobbie Nelson and his only son, James A. Bond.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West .
