James William Gresham, 92, of Simpsonville, husband of Ruby Etta Ayers Gresham, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Clarence and Nora Lee Burdett Gresham.

He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

James worked for Greenville City for 28 years as an engineer with the city fire department.

His memory will continue to live on with his loving wife, Ruby; son, Tim Gresham and his wife Deborah; four grandchildren, Ashley Ghent (Danny), Joseph Gresham (Cassidy), Mikki Draz (Haider), and Jay Gresham; two great grandchildren, Leighton and Cecilia Draz; and sister, Catherine Hamill.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, James Steve Gresham; and grandson, David Bruce Gresham.

A service will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast. The visitation will immediately follow the service until 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 500 Holland Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29681.
