Janie “Monett” Mosteller, 95, of Greenville, wife of the late George Mosteller, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
Born in Greer, SC, she was the daughter of the late Massena and Grace Lynn Campbell.
Monett was a member of First Assembly of God for many years where she took an active role in her church and she also attended Paris View Baptist Church. She was a woman of strong faith and family values. Monett was a devout supporter of missions wherever the need may be; whether in her church, community, state or beyond. Monett was an incredible cook and made the world’s best banana bread; she loved to share her gift of cooking by preparing meals for families within the church that had lost loved ones. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to whomever was blessed enough know her. Her memory and legacy of love, faith and values will continue on by each life she touched.
She is survived by son Wayne Mosteller; and close family friend, Jordan Lester.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Stephen Mosteller; sisters, Margaret Armstrong and Ila Barnette; and brother, Arnold Campbell.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
