Jeannette Baiguy Shepard, 84, of 801 N. Franklin Road, died August 11, 2004 at Hillcrest Hospital. Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Eliza Couture Baiguy and the widow of Ernest J. Shepard. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Mrs. Shepard was a long time former member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church where she was a member of the Women?s Club and Saints Market. She helped with the convent and also helped make Baptismal robes. Mrs. Shepard was a 26 year volunteer with Shriners Hospital for Children. She was also a volunteer with Senior Action and the Cancer Society of Greenville County. She received numerous awards for her volunteer work. Mrs. Shepard also loved sewing, knitting, needlepoint, and working in her yard. Surviving are two daughters, JoAnn Shepard Patterson and her husband, Larry, of Pelzer, Donna Shepard Pusty and her husband, Bill, of Simpsonville; two sons, William Shepard and his wife, Jan, of Pelzer, Ernest Shepard of Greenville; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother George Baiguy of Biddeford, ME. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601. A Vigil service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at 214 Trotters Ridge Lane, Simpsonville.
