Jimmy Carroll Riddle, 78, beloved husband of Linda "Gail" Bishop Riddle, of Greenville, passed away, Sunday, January 3, 2021.

Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late David Riddle and Cora Lee Crane Riddle.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle Church. Everyone knew Jimmy for his kind and calm demeaner. He touched many lives through youth softball and basketball. He was not only a coach but also a father figure to many. Jimmy was an avid South Carolina Gamecock Fan. Above all, his greatest joy and love was his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 58 years, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa Brogden (Gabe); sisters, Ruby Page, and Diane Riddle; a brother, Danny Riddle (Kathie); and sisters-in-law, Fran Porter (William), and Valjean Riddle; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, Vernon and Harold Riddle; mother-in-law, Edna Bishop; and father-in-law, Clayton.

Although no formal Receiving of Friends will be held, friends may pay their respects Thursday, January 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. The wearing of masks is required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines on social distancing. Burial to follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Tabernacle Building Fund, 824 Piedmont Highway, Piedmont, SC 29673 or to Sara's Cure, P.O. Box 13418, Charleston, SC 29422 https://sarascure.org
