Joey "Joe" Nicholas Angalet, 55, loving husband of Mandy Angalet, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021.
Born in Huntington, WV, he was a son of the Nikki Michero Angalet and the late Louis Angalet.
Joe was a very active member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church where he served as a leader in the youth program and coached church basketball as well as taught children and youth in Sunday School. Known on the basketball court as "Vanilla Thunder," he also coached travel baseball, assisted with the cross country team at Mauldin High School, and volunteered with Mauldin Miracle League baseball with his son.
Beginning as an Electrical Engineer, Joe enjoyed thirty two years of service to Michelin-North America, where he currently was an Investment Manager.
In addition to his mother and wife, left to cherish his memory are three children, Abby, Andrew, and Adam Angalet; brother, Michael Angalet (Michelle); mother-in-law, Betty Sawyer; sister-in-law, Dina Davis (Chris); niece, Anna Angalet; and four nephews, Nicholas and Benjamin Angalet, and Jeremy and Jordan Davis (Ariel).
Joe's love of the Clemson Tigers and his memory will be celebrated with a Clemson style tailgating party at a later date.
