Joe Delano Pearson, 88, of Greenville, husband of the late Dot Pearson, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Cass and Corrie Sanders Pearson.

A Korean War Veteran of the US Navy, Joe was 45 year member of the Clemson IPTAY. After his retirement from 3M, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Joe was a member of Woodside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Smith (David); Kelley Pearson; son, Jeff Pearson; grandchildren, Erin Pearson and Alaina Pearson; great grandson, Cameron; brother, Jerry Pearson (Delores).

In addition to his loving wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Jenkins.

Mr. Pearson will be buried in Greenville Memorial Gardens after a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodside Baptist Church, 301 Woodside Avenue, Greenville, SC 29611.

Kelley, There are no words. I understand exactly what you are going through right now. It opens it back up for me. Your father knows you love him and he is no longer suffering. He is with his Heavenly Father now. Even though we miss their physical body they are really still here with us. I met sweet Joe when he started working at Virginia College 18 years ago as our security guard. He not only was the first face I saw everyday but, he made everyday a joy to be at work. Always had a story and looked out for everyone not because he had to but, because he wanted to. We’ve always run into each other over the years and I will so miss him! Praying for the family. My deepest condolences!?
