John A. Langer, Sr

John A. Langer, Sr., 81, of Magnolia Place, Greenville joined his wife in Heaven on Friday, May 14, 2004. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late August and Matilda Karg Langer and widower of Margaret Louise Leppard Langer. He proudly served his country in the US Army, the 191st Tank Battallion during WWII. Mr. Langer was a member of Fair Heights Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Gloria L. Hallman and husband Tom of Acworth, GA; two sons, John A. Langer, Jr. and Tim Langer, both of Greenville; brother, Bob Langer and wife Sonya of Clinton, CT; two sisters-in-law, Lois Leppard of Greenville and Belle Langford of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Jennifer Thaxton, Tommy Hallman, Jr., Katie Hallman and Jonathan Hallman; two great-grandchildren, Kaleigh and Casey Thaxton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 pm at Fair Heights Baptist Church with visitation prior from 12:00 ? 1:15 pm. Interment to follow in Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
