Ann.   Chick emailed to let us know about your loss.   We have fond memories of those days 'way back' when we knew John at Clemson.  Back then, he was a solid, Godly and very smart guy.   We suspect that all just improved with the passage of time.    What an assurance to know he is now with our Lord Jesus.   May His presence and peace reside with you each day.

Anne & Family. I knew John from my years working at the Belk main office in Charlotte. I had many opportunities to work with him, often via phone calls throughout the 90's and early 2000's. In an often intense environment, he always seemed incredibly grounded. I moved to Greenville just over a decade ago and ran into John once at Miracle Hill.  It was so nice to see him again and take several minutes to catch up. I'm just truly saddened that he is gone, but grateful to know he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It's just a miracle that I had a stack of newspapers that a neighbor passed on to me and I saw his obituary.  You all will be in my prayers.  Michael Chalmers

To Ann and their family, I want to extend my deepest sympathy in the loss of John.  John and Ann were part of some very happy memories of my days at Clemson and I still treasure those moments.  Even then John was a very level-headed young man who was a joy to be around and a man of strong faith. My prayers are with you and one can take comfort that he is home and the suffering has ended.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of John.  When I moved to the upstate to work for Belk in 1998, John was one of the first people I met at work.  He was always very kind, supportive and also great at his job.  He helped me make the transition to a new city and a new workplace much smoother and I will never forget that.  Although I have not seen John in many years, I have fond memories of our time at work together.  I am thinking about your family and keeping you in my prayers.

Dear Fiedler family,
I worked with your dad at Belk.
We are praying for family in this time of loss.
If I talked with your dad 1000 times he always said something about his family.
A smile for miles and a warm warm handshake.
Heaven certainly has gained an amazing person.
God bless you all.

Many years ago when I was in undergrad school, my Mother worked part time in the evenings and weekends at Belk to help me obtain my education.  Mr. Fiedler was just starting out in his career and my Mother always said that he was he nicest and kindest young man.  My Mother always remembered his kindness through the years. It is with great sadness that we have learned about your loved one's passing. It is true that kindness is remembered a lifetime and that is how we will always remember John Fiedler. May he rest in eternal peace and may the light and goodness of God shine upon each and everyone of you now and in the days ahead.      1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and truth. RIP.

We are so saddened by the loss. We are praying for you all. John was an inspiration to so many people! We have great memories of working together at Belk. John’s calm & patient manner gained him respect throughout the organization. No doubt this carried out through his ALS. He was always honest & gave over 100% in everything he did. John always stood up for what he believed in. We all admired him. I will forever have John in my heart & will think on all the wonderful times at Belk during our careers. God Bless you all. Love & prayers. Sharing some pictures from John’s retirement ALS walk.
