John was the best friend a kid could have. He was never too busy to teach me something about trucks, tractors or being in the woods. He was superman to us little kids.

Kristie "Mudpig" Cabe Davis left a message on August 2, 2023:
My uncle Johnboy... so many memories that it's hard to choose just one! The summers I spent with him and my aunt Darlene were some of the most fun times of my life. Swimming holes that he dug in the creek behind the house for us kiddos, catching crawdads in that same creek, walking through the woods, camping and bonfires (the biggest bonfires you've ever seen) building forts, riding in the Pete with him on a haul, jokes I still tell to this day... to say he was the fun uncle would be an understatement. Until we meet again, keep JC in stitches, tell grandma and grandpa, aunt Jean and uncle Butch hello and that I love them. Your presence was the largest one in any room, I have no doubt it won't be any different in Heaven now that you've arrived. Love you big, your Mudpig!

We had the best times.playing in the creek.swinging on a rope swing that our older brother put up. We would run as fast as we could and swing out across the creek and land back where we started.Theres a piece of rope still hanging up way at the top. I going to miss my Brother Dearly. RIP my Heart
