Vicki, Alma Jean and family, I was so sorry to hear about John's passing while I was out of town. The video tribute touched my heart. I was certainly honored to have known your dad, Vicki. I will never forget the day we went to the movies and he insisted I sit next to him so he could hold my hand. Such a sweet memory. He was a wonderful human being and I hope you all find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

John was such a hoot. A great spirit with a welcoming smile. Never seemed to lose his sense of humor even in old age. We laughed together the last time I saw him. Go on now John to God's next assignment. I know you'll do well.

The Patriarch of our neighborhood!! I loved our walks together in our cul-de-sac when he called me “Deb” about 50 times!! A quality Christian who truly lived what he believed. The good thing is he is not dead!! He lives in Heaven now, has a brand new body and is praising God with the 😇 angels!! It just doesn’t get any better than that..,,, except for the fact that we’ll catch up to him someday and we’ll all worship together eternally. Until then, thank you John and Jean for being not only spiritual lights and blessing on our neighborhood. We are blessed to be across the street neighbors of yours!! Love you Jean!!

Dearest Vicki and family - I never met your sweet and wonderful Daddy, but I feel that I have known him for as long as I've known you - you describe him as I would describe you in so many ways. You, your Mama, and your family and friends were so blessed to have him as the rudder to your ship for so long. I'd say that man has earned his wings! Praying for you to have comfort and peace knowing that he has arrived in Paradise, and he leaves this World the GIFT of you and your family as his living legacy. Love you and sending you hugs and prayers!

I remember driving my 1929 Model A truck over to John's to take him for a ride. It could be sorta difficult to drive and change gears. John drove it better than I did. He was a pro.

My most heartfelt condolences to Jean and the entire family of John Elliott. He was a very unique and interesting man of both rare and wonderful qualities. His absence has left a large void and the pain of it is salved only by knowing he is in the presence of our Lord.
