Joyce Haley Pirnes, 91, of Greenville, died Friday, May 20, 2022.

Born in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of the late Yancey and Marie Haley.

Joyce loved her family dearly and had a great love for the beach. She had a strong work ethic and retired from the SC Department of Corrections after 30 years of service.

Joyce is survived by her two loving daughters, Debbie Chase(Don) and Lexie Edmonds(Mike); three granddaughters, Jan Finnical(John), Lisa Black(Josh) and Haley Wooten; one grandson, Mark Allison(Mary); and six great-grandchildren, Jesse Rigdon, Macy Allison, Rylie Doffee, Landon Edmond, Noah Allison and Brayden Black.

Honoring her love of all animals, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greenville Humane Society at www.greenvillehumane.com.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Graceland Cemetery West.

Long time next door neighbors Bobby and Syble Jennings and daughter Sherry send our deepest sympathy and prayers to the family of Joyce Pirnes. Living so close to Joyce over 30 years, she was more than a neighbor, she was family to us.
