Juanita Childers

Juanita Childers, 83, wife of Larry Childers, died Sunday, July 31, 2022.

Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Jackson and Edith Dukes Cauthen.

Mrs. Childers was a member of First Baptist Church Mauldin. She enjoyed the family cabin in Maggie Valley, and was a loving career military wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by her daughters, Tina Oellerich and husband, Herman, and Anna Childers Jones; four grandchildren, David “Scott” Reed and wife, Susan, Kayla LeeAnne Brown and husband, Seth, Tyla Christine Oellerich, and Bryanna Falk; two great-grandchildren, Leighton Brown, Olivia Kate Brown; nine great great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jackie Bennett, Nancy Willetts, Carolyn Auvil and husband, Allan, and Joy Cordray and husband, John; and two brothers, Pete Cauthen and wife, Sharon, and Jerald Cauthen and wife, Lisa.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Blanchard and Dawn Marie Childers; son, Larry LeWayne Childers; one sister, Jane Cauthen; and one brother, Tommy Cauthen.

A Visitation will be held Friday, August 05, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at First Baptist Church Mauldin followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the First Baptist Church Mauldin Cemetery.
