Karen Dee Schnezler, 54, wife of Mike Schnezler, died Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, FL, she was the daughter of Kurt Scheiwe and Maureen Rafferty.

Karen was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. She was the Broker/Owner of Realty ONE Group Freedom in Greenville, and was a member of Greater Greenville Association of Realtors for more than 20 years.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her three children, Kristina Schnezler, Brandon Schnezler, and Hunter Schnezler; two granddaughters, Reagan and Riley Schnezler; sister, Kristina Parrish and husband, Brian; step-mother, Patricia Scheiwe; step-father, Barry Tuerkheimer; and two brothers, Michael Montgomery and wife, Bruna, and Brian Shock, Niece, Alexandra Pohl, Brooke Parrish, nephew, Andrew Parrish, seven additional nieces and nephews in New Jersey and Florida.

She was preceded in death by one brother, David Montgomery.

A Vigil will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast followed by a time of visitation until 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Francis Cancer Center, 104 Innovation Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.

I first met Karen when she was about one hour old. She was such a strong person that it's hard to believe she is no longer with us. Offering our condolences to her husband, children, brothers, sister and parents seems inadequate. We trust God that our prayers for comfort will be answered.

Our prayers and thoughts for Mike, Nina, Brandon and Hunter. Karen always took care of anyone that crossed her path even when she barely knew them. She and Mike has helped us so much and became family when helping us find our new home. Y’all have made such a positive impact on our lives and me and my brother thank y’all. Praying for comfort in hard times and happy memories to last a lifetime.

I am so thankful to have met Karen and for the impact she has made on my career and life. She taught me so many things and always built me up. She was brave, strong, and such a wonderful person. She was known and loved by SO many. I’m so sorry she is gone, but I know we will all continue to grow and show her legacy and all that she’s created. Sending love to her family.

My Dearest Karen, I will miss you more than I could ever tell you. You were my wife, my partner, my best friend, and the love of my life. Karen cares about her work so much. She is always fighting there for her clients. Karen cares about her clients. She cares about people. I love you so much as a dear friend.

My heart is broken this woman was an inspiration. Working with Karen in any facet of real estate you knew she would make things happen. Such a caring and compassionate soul. My prayers go to all who were lucky enough to meet her. May God embrace us all helping us celebrate her life. Although we're are sad Our Father has welcomed this beautiful soul with open arms.

So sorry for the pain you suffered prior to God bringing you home. Rest well, Karen.
