Kathy Pike, 61, wife of David Pike, died Saturday August 20, 2022.

Born in Middletown, OH, she was the daughter of Loretta Gainey McCoy and the late Marshall McCoy.

Kathy attended Brookwood Church and was employed at Truist Bank for over 30 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed vacations to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband and mother,she is survived by her son, Davis Pike; brother, Daniel McCoy and wife, Heather; two sisters, Kristi Davis and husband, Grant, and Kim Weaver; three nieces, Caroline McCoy, Erin McCoy, and Elizabeth Whiteside; and three nephews, Connor Whiteside, Grady Weaver, and Brad Weaver.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast followed by the Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

I’m so sad and heart broken. I just learned of a dear friend’s passing today, Kathy McCoy. We grew up playing together in our neighborhood and going to school. Later in years we went on double dates together until she got married and moved to another part of Greenville. I didn’t see Kathy much, but would ask about her and her son, every time I saw her Husband David. To all the precious McCoy family especially Loretta & Kim, please know I’m praying for all of you, David & DJ. I would have been there for you if I had known. David, Davis and family, my heart aches for each of you with the loss of Kathy. She was an amazing friend and I thank God for her friendship. She and I worked together at BB&T for many years. I remember Kathy always having a smile on her face, and sharing funny stories that made you laugh until you cried. She adored her family and her face would light up anytime she talked about you. David, Davis, and family, I am so sorry to hear of Kathy´s passing. I worked with her at BB&T for several years. Kathy would tell the best stories! She would make me laugh so hard that I cried and my stomach hurt. Her laugh was so contagious. All she had to do was laugh, and I would laugh too! She was a wonderful person inside and out.
