Kelli Rackley, who was affectionately known by “Ma” to all of us, went home to be with Jesus on April 10, 2022 at the age of 57. Kelli married Jerry Rackley, “Pa”, in 1986 and spent 36 years with him and the family in and around the mountains north of Greenville, South Carolina. Somewhere off of Highway 276 near the North Carolina/South Carolina border, it wouldn’t be uncommon to find Pa asleep in his chair and Ma watching her shows or listening to music. Her love for, and knowledge of, music was incredible, a gift that she passed to her daughter. Ma loved to laugh, loved her family, and wanted to make sure that everyone was okay. She was humble in all things, yet extravagant in the way that she loved other people. We know that she is with Jesus and that we will see her again but are saddened that the world lost a bright light too soon.
Ma’s family is all waiting anxiously to see her again, including her husband, Jerry Rackley; her daughter, Tawni Mogan; her son’s, Jesse Rackley, Heath Rackley, Jentsen Rackley, and Joseph Lord; her sister, Karen Noblitt; her grandchildren, Evie, Gracie, Savannah, Camden, Colton, Harper, Jake, Jonah, Noa, Ella, and her soon-to-be granddaughter. Kelli was preceded in death by her mother Brenda Bayne, who she missed dearly, and her father John W. Cochran. She is reunited with her loved ones, celebrating in the presence of our Lord and Savior at this very hour.
To respect her wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, we will continuously celebrate her life through the memories we share when we gather as a family, through the way that we laugh, and through the way that we love each other. We hope that y’all will do the same!
Revelation 21:4 – He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the order of things has passed away.
