Kurtis Michael Campbell, 57,of Greer, passed away, Monday, May 3, 2021.

Born in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Shirley Campbell.

Mike was an employee of the Synnex Corporation for nearly thirty years. He enjoyed golfing and boating in his spare time and was an amateur food connoisseur. Mike was a friend to everyone that knew him. He enjoyed life to the fullest, loved people and they loved him. His greatest joy and love was for his family.

He is survived by daughter, Kella Campbell; and son, John Campbell; siblings, Marty Campbell, Lynn Drummond (Dean), Keith Campbell (Jennifer), and Kelly Campbell (Robin); and several nieces and nephews.

Paying of respects will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Safe Harbor, Inc, 429 N. Main Street, Suite 1, Greenville, SC 29601.

Friends are encouraged to leave condolence messages for the family.

To all of Mike's family and especially John... my deepest sympathy in the loss of Mike. He and I spent a lot of time together and he discussed his family, especially John and Michaela quite often. We had so many plans for the future. I love Mike with all of my heart and he is already greatly missed. It was so big hearted of John to invite me to the private viewing and I will be forever grateful. His memory, and our memories will always be with me ❤️

When we all realize we are brothers and sisters in Christ we all will understand one another’s hurts, pain, scorned moments and grief we bare for loved ones just keep praying keep caring and keep believing in Christ and one day we will all meet again. My condolences to Mike and his family. Mike was a mentor to me at Synnex from day 1 sharing his wisdom with me as he has so many others. I owe him a debt of gratitude for what has been a great 16+ year run with the company. We lost a great one. He will be missed.

My condolences to the Campbell family. Mike will be missed because he touched so many people. To the family, Grief is a most peculiar thing; we're so helpless in the face of it. It's like a window that will simply open of its own accord. The room grows cold, and we can do nothing but shiver. But it opens a little less each time, and a little less, and one day we wonder what has become of it.

This just breaks my heart. I've know Mike for so many years, and he always had a kind word. My sincerest sympathies to his family, and his friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I knew him as my insurance customer and my husband knew him from childhood. We had a few talks about the struggles of working from home. I know he adored his son and family. My prayers are with you all. ❤️

Mike, I am so sorry to hear this news. We sat in the same area when I first started working at SYNNEX. You taught me the ropes and all of the tips and tricks with the sales system. Then I followed you onto the FAE team and you always looked out for me like a big brother. You were so great at maintaining relationships and your talents will be missed in the organization, no doubt! But even more, your heart and personality will be missed by those that love you. -Chelsea

I was so sorry to hear of Mike's passing, and I send my deepest sympathies to his family. My fondest memories will be of the time we spent in band together at Parker High, Golden Tornadoes. Go rest high Mike.

Mike, you will be missed in the neighborhood. Your passing was such a shock. To your family David and I will be unable to come to the funeral home as neither of us can wear masks because of medical conditions. Our sympathies are with you.

I graduated from Parker in 1982 with Mike and knew him from our days at Lakeview Middle. Easy going and pragmatic guy. May his memory be eternal...???

Mike taught me a lot of what I know when I started at Synnex 13 years ago. Even when I was an intern doing what some thought was meaningless work, he went out of his way and told me he truly appreciated what I was doing and it how it helped him. He was always one I loved getting paired with during our Thursday night dog fights at the golf course. It was guaranteed to be a good time if he was in your group. I will miss him dearly along with many other. God bless you and your family Mike!

Remember carrying this happy face boy on my hips loving him and all his siblings with all my heart. Much more than nice and nephews. You will be missed and forever in our hearts. LOVE Aunt Ruth

When I came to Greenville for work, I knew no one. Mike was the first person I met and volunteered to take me to dinner. He was a true southern gentlemen. Was always cheerful, kind and could always put a smile on your face with his humor. He will truly be missed..

You will be missed Mike. Sitting near you at SYNNEX I was able to get to know you and you could always make us laugh! You will be greatly missed at work! You ran the good race and I know we will see each other again someday! Prayers to your son and family who we know you dearly lived!

You’re going to be really missed Mike. You always had a way to cheer me up when I was feeling down. I could always count on a phone call from you to pick me up. I always enjoy teasing you about having a birthday on Valentine’s Day and I so much enjoyed purposely disagreeing with you in politics just to get you going. I still think I’m right about climate change and I know will continue that chat someday. You were a good teammate and an even better friend. I will always be grateful to have known you.

The entire SYNNEX FAE Family is going to miss Mike, he was one of a kind and brought a lot of joy to our team. Mike worked most of his career for me so I've heard lots stories. i know he was dedicated to his family and job.

Mike, I will miss your kind heart and willingness to always help everyone, your silly laugh when we said stupid to things to each other and our long winded chats during many hours of drive time! Our team will never be the same without you but we are grateful for all the years we had with you. ~ Rest in peace my friend ~ My deepest sympathies to your entire family...
