Latino Rodriguez, 88, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021.

Born in Santiago, Antioquia – Colombia, South America, he was a son of the late Luis Eduardo Rodriguez and Maria Pastora Ocampo.

He is survived by his six children, Luz Marina Villada and husband, Orlando, Carlos Rodriguez, Aliz Henao, Nancy Acosta, Latino Alberto Rodriguez and wife, Mary, and Diana Garcia. Latino was blessed with 14 grandchildren; Alexandra V. Caro and husband, Edison, Johnny Valencia, Carlos Rodriguez Jr., Claudia Harter and husband, Justin, Viviana Holcombe and husband, Mitchell, Paula Anthony and husband, Marc, Gabriel Jaime Henao and wife, Nasyra, Veronica Howell and husband, Seth, Christina Amick and husband, Landon, Michael Acosta and wife, Blair, Sarai Rodriguez, Lilliana Rodriguez, Andrew Montaño, and Monica Hernandez. He was also blessed with 23 great-grandchildren, Christopher Caro, Ashton Drake, Maggie Drake, Arie Valencia, Amanda Rodriguez, Brandon Rodriguez, Hudson T. Holcombe, Camilo G. Holcombe, Nikolas Henao, Elena Henao, Lia Howell, Ava Howell, Ana Howell, Thomas Howell, Francis Howell, Charles Howell, Joseph Howell, Raegan Amick, Locklin Amick, Emery Acosta, Adley Acosta, and Jayden Batiste; and two sisters, Maria Romelia Rodriguez and Maria Edilma Rodriguez

In addition to his parents, Latino was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alis Teresa Rodriguez Botia; two brothers, Rafael Angel Rodriguez and Abel Antonio Rodriguez; and a sister, Maria Virgelina Rodriguez.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated in Spanish at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. The family appreciates those in attendance following the CDC recommendations on wearing a mask and social distancing.

La misa fúnebre se celebrará en español a las 10:00 a.m. del jueves 23 de septiembre de 2021 en la iglesia católica St. Mary Magdalene. La familia agradece a los asistentes que siguen las recomendaciones de los CDC sobre el uso de una máscara y el distanciamiento social.
