Liam David Huffer, infant son of Ben and Jennifer Hoppe Huffer, was born on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at 5:15 PM and shortly after passed into the arms of our Savior, joining his sisters, Lily and Gwen, in Heaven.
The Huffers are members of NewSpring, Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he will be forever cherished by all of his grandparents, John and Heidi Hoppe, III and Scott and Lori Huffer and the many family members and friends who love him.
From Ben and Jenn:
Liam’s name was no coincidence. Meaning “strong-willed warrior,” we thought this meant that the Lord was going to utilize him here on this Earth to be a warrior for His kingdom, even within the perseverance of pregnancy, in our hopes to see it come to completion. However, in His sovereignty, the Lord had other plans. We can now see that this name that he was given means so much more. We can see that Liam is to be an eternal warrior, an inspiration to us in this world: to fight the good fight, to persevere, to keep the faith, and to stand firm, no matter the physical circumstances or difficulties that we face.
Liam’s life and time with us here will always be cherished and feel too brief, but how sweet is it to know that this is only the beginning, as our lives here are but a vapor. We will honor Liam’s life by seeing and holding closely the eternity set before us, yearning for the day that we can be together again, all the while battling everyday that we have here on this earth for the Lord’s kingdom in his memory. We ask that in lieu of donations or flowers, you would consider doing the same.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.- 1 Corinthians 15:58 ”
