I am so grateful for having the chance to meet such a wonderful lady! I worked with "Miss Ann" for 10 years at ITS. I could always count on her to lift my spirits in any situation. Sympathy and prayers to her family.

I am so sorry Ann is gone. She was a friend for a long time. She was more than just a friend to my Mama, Hill Smith. Ann's mother Marian and my Mama were fast friends when my Mama started going to First Nazarene church. When Marian died, Ann said" You have to be my Mother now, Hill. 'cause we are both Smiths." I loved her, her smile, her jokes and her happy nature. She will be dearly missed.

We had a pastor at the First Church of the Nazarene once that decided we should be proud enough of the Christian flag to fly it on our car just like game Flags. He handed them out and Ann's mother put hers on her car. Ann did not take one so her mother,  Mary,  fussed with her about it. Finally Ann said to her mother, "Mother, I am not going to put that flag on my car. It's not because I am ashamed of it but I might have to honk at somebody and then what would they think about me with that Christian flag hanging on my window? Sometimes I just have to honk at people who don't have good sense." Whenever Ann would tell that story over again, she would laugh and then she'd say how much she missed her mama. Now, we are going to miss Ann.
