Linda Grace Richards

Linda Grace Richards, 67, of Travelers Rest, beloved wife of William “Marshall” Richards, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Born in Greenville SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Geneva Hudson Rochester.

Linda was an original member of Pine Creek Old Fashioned Baptist Church. She had a heart of gold, a genuine loving person that was always willing to help others. She was a natural care giver; she took wonderful care of her husband during his illness. The love of the Lord radiated in all she did. Linda enjoyed sewing in her spare time. She loved listening to southern gospel music and lifting up her Lord in song.

Linda and her husband, Marshall celebrated 47 years of marriage on July 1. She was a woman of great character, wonderful strength and a Godly disposition. Linda loved her Lord, her church, and her family. She was loved beyond compare and loved others unselfishly. Her memory and legacy of love will live on through each person’s life she touched.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by sisters, Susan Massey, Nancy Smith and Janie Jones; brothers, Bill Rochester and James Rochester; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 5, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be held in Mountain View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Creek Old Fashioned Baptist Church, 153 Geneva Memorial Drive, Travelers Rest, SC, 29690.
