Luke Glen Edwards, 73, husband of Nancie O. Edwards, of Simpsonville, completed his earthly journey and joined the heavenly choir on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Harry L. Edwards and Reva Young Edwards.
Mr. Edwards was a member of Overbrook Baptist Church and the Barr Sunday School Class. He was employed for over 35 years with Proctor and Gamble. In addition to being a gifted singer, he loved horses, vegetable gardening, and spending time with his family. Most importantly, was his walk with Jesus Christ.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by two daughters, Kym Williams and Heather Glew (John); two grandchildren, Michael Gibson (Kristine) and Luci Brehm (Allen); two great-grandchildren, Owen and Liam Gibson; a sister, Suzanne Haselbacher (Hans); several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a sister-in-law, Judy B. Edwards.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Edwards.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Overbrook Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Dale Sutton will officiate. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
