Lumis Carl "LC" Bagwell Jr., 87, of Greenville, passed away, Monday, April 6, 2020.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Lumis Carl Bagwell,Sr and Dollie Owen Batson.

Mr. Bagwell served in the United States Army. He was a charter member of Oak Crest Baptist Church and a Past Master of the Brandon Masonic Lodge #279, formerly Judson Masonic Lodge.

LC was the owner of Bagwell and Davis Office Machines.

He is survived by special companion, Arlene Smith; two sons, Lumis "Carl" Bagwell III, and his wife, Dee Dee, and Kevin Bagwell, and his wife, Kittie; three granddaughters, Allyson Howell, and her husband, Bill, Bridget Scott and Joy Clayton; eight great grands; and Arlene's children, Theresa Roberts, Linda Brown, and Karen Bennifield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Bagwell.

The family would like to thank special caregiver, Theresa Roberts for her love and care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St, Greenville, SC 29605, or a charity of one's choice.

A private burial will be held on Thursday, April 9, in Graceland West Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of LC’s passing. I still miss this family! Grew up next door to Barbara’s mother & daddy (and now live here again) so anytime Carl, Kevin, Renee & Brad were at Mrs. Ethel’s, I had playmates. Prayers for you all. Good memories of VBS at Oak Crest with y’all too!

I remember Uncle LC always having a smile. Even when I saw him in the hospital a couple of weeks back he could barely speak but had a big smile. Prayers for my cousins, Carl and Kevin.

Your families are in my thoughts and prayers. Our families had many great times together. Mom (Ola) loved spending time with your parents. Your dad was always a great story teller.
