Margaret Elizabeth Hand

Margaret Elizabeth Hand, 93, beloved wife of 50 years to the late James Hand, passed away on Wednesday April 26, 2023.

Born in Hendersonville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Waverlene Vaughn Tolbert.

Margaret was a long time member of West Park Road Baptist Church. Margaret enjoyed the simple pleasures like reading a good book, especially mystery novels. She was a true southern lady that enjoyed getting her nails painted, spending time with her family, and worshiping the Lord. Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother; and her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as “Grams”. She loved her family deeply, and her sweet loving spirit will be missed but her legacy of love and faith will continue on by those she leaves behind.

She is survived by son James “Mike” Hand (Bonnie); grandson, Matthew Hand; granddaughter, Ashley McCullough; great-grandsons, Brendon, Mason, and Ryan McCullough.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 1, 2023, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest.
