Following the service

On May 3, 2024, Marguerite McCluney Nutting, finished her long service to her Lord Jesus Christ here on earth and finally went to be with Him “on Zion’s Hill.” Her loving husband of 70 years and daughter, Elaine, were both by her side to the end, comforting her with words of love and encouragement. Jill Martin left a message on May 12, 2024:
I am so thankful for her commitment to teach me when I was in the youth group at West Terre Haute Baptist Church. Under Mrs. Nutting's direction, I studied Romans 7 - 11 so that members of our youth group could compete at a ProTeens Bible drill at the Wilds many years ago. Though I am certain I wasn't a great student, the teaching of those particular passages stays with me to this day. "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death." I am sad to know of her home going--sad for you girls, sadder still for your sweet dad. But because of Jesus, death could not hold her! She is in heaven with so many who have gone before and who welcomed her with excitement and enthusiasm, showing her around the place. Thank you for sharing her obituary. I loved hearing about her life in Christ! <3
