Marie Lucille Goetze Talley

Marie Lucille Goetze Talley, 93, wife of the late Robert Talley, died peacefully in Greenville, South Carolina, on Thursday, June 16, 2022.

Born 3rd generation in Napa, CA, Marie was the daughter of the late Frank and Amelia Neuenschwander Goetze. She attended Ursline Catholic Convent Boarding School from ages 11 to 18, then went on to attend business college. After graduating, Marie married her husband Bob Talley.

Ms. Talley was a faithful member of St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church. Marie was the proud owner and operator of Talley Paint and Wallpaper Decorating Center for 32 years, and enjoyed working with her community during her extensive career. She moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 2001 to be close to her daughter and son-in-law. Marie loved gardening and traveling the world with her daughter Ann.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Talley Yax; nephew, Jim Regalia (Tina); and niece, Anne Regalia Repasse.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceeded in death by her sisters, Bernice Goetze Heine and Alma Goetze Regalia; and her brother, Frank Goetze Jr.

Graveside services will be held on a later date at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa, California.
