Marjorie Covington Ridgell, 76, of 205 Delrose Circle, wife of . Leon Louis Ridgell, Col. USAR, died Thursday August 05, 2004. Born in Norfolk, VA she was the daughter of the late William Braxton and Marjorie Hardee Covington. Mrs. Ridgell was a retired Librarian at Greenville High School. She attended Radford College. Mrs. Ridgell was a member of Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church where she served as Church Librarian and was a member of the Moffatt Long Sunday School Class. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Linda R. Ware of Irmo, SC, Elaine R. Smith and her husband Nathaniel of Chapin, SC; two sons, Donald L. Ridgell, DMD and his wife Holly of Greenville, Ralph L. Ridgell and his wife Kelly of Cumming, GA; a sister, Jean C. Mitchell of Charlotte, NC; a brother, William B. Covington, DDS of Plymouth, MI; six grandchildren, Kenneth, Daniel, and Jacob Ridgell, Heather Nesbitt, Marshall Smith, and Audrey Chapman, and two great grandchildren, Anna Grace and Grant Chapman. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 08, 2004 at 3:00 PM at Greenville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Cleveland Street. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the charity of one?s choice. The family will be at the home of a son, Donald Ridgell, 17 Chanticleer Drive, Greenville, SC 29605. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
