Marjorie T. Williams, 92, widow of Carl Williams, died Sunday, June 6, 2021 at NHC Healthcare Greenville.
Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Thad and Lois Bobo Taylor. Mrs. Williams was a member of Poe Baptist Church.
Marjorie retired from Southern Weaving after 35 years of service. She was a faithful member of Poe Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ and was the music director for many years. Marjorie loved sewing, crocheting, and knitting and listening to music. She enjoyed traveling with her friend Virginia and together they visited 48 states.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Haley (Buddy) and Pat Earnest (Gary), all of Greenville; two grandchildren, Tim Haley (Kim) of Charleston and Erin Hardester (Kyle) of Virginia; and three great-grandchildren, Carsyn Haley, Carmyn Haley, and John Hardester.
A public viewing will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel, with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to perform a random act of kindness in memory of Marjorie.
