Preddy ! What an outstanding service to attend and to have his/your greatest honor and moments on this earth, be those where you served the Lord near home and afar in Africa. The gospel was presented well as you obviously so wished it to be done. My condolences and prayers to each family member. I am honored to have known and had played ball with this Kingdom seeker man. More than a '82 Conf champs... you finished well my friend.

I met Mark for the first time several months ago after a Sunday service at Fellowship Greenville. He was sitting in the row behind me. After the service Mark approached me with a genuine concern for what he assessed I seemed to be going through. We shared our hearts that day in that sweet 10 minute conversation. I want Mark’s family and friends to know that in his own sickness and pain he was concerned about the pain of someone he had never even met. He asked if he could pray for me and I for him. I have looked for Mark regularly since then as I wanted him to know how much that simple gesture of care meant to me. Thank you Mark for allowing God to use ALL of you for His glory.

My condolences to Mark’s family. Mark and I played sports together at Mt. Pleasant, including the 1982 RRC football championship team. He was a leader on the field and off the field. His mission work was even more impressive. Wonderful memories of a great guy!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this time. Mark and I were friends during high school and played on the same 82 football team. He was a very talented athlete and a wonderful person to be around. God be with you.

Mark has been one of the solid rock foundations of BLE since our first day in business. In his work he exhibited his character of tremendous discipline, determination, reliability, organization, integrity, and a deep and always increasing technical knowledge. As a result, his professional practice has been marked by excellence that sets an example for others to follow. He was always ready to take on a challenge and to help others by sharing his knowledge. His life was rich with family, charity, and service to others as he sought to walk with Christ. In the depth of his physical trials and suffering he exhibited an unwavering faith and trust in his Lord that was inspiring. He will be remembered and greatly missed.

So sorry for your loss. I coached Mark in track at Mt. pleasant and loved my time with him. I loved seeing him get the baton on the 4x200 see him walking the other anchors down. Was a very good track star, but a much better person. He will be missed!!
Larry Simonson left a message on November 7, 2022:
I had the gift of working with Mark for the past 10 years at BLE. In that time, I came to recognize him as one of the hardest working, kindest, ethically driven individuals I've ever known. As a hydrogeologist he was an expert in his field, but never sat in a high tower despite that expertise. His door was always open when I or anyone else in the office had questions or needed help. We will truly miss Mark and his calm, humble presence.

Gindy, We are truly and saddened by Marks passing and will continue to lift you up to the Lord for His peace and provision. As you know, I first met Mark in 1989 through a mutual Furman professor. When given the chance, I immediately brought him onto our team, and was thankful for him ever since that day. Mark was warm and brilliant, with an wonderful team spirit. His clients and collogues highly respected his professional talent and humor. Mark had a perfect attitude and would always take time with anyone that asked for help. My prayers will be for you in these days to come. Tom

Janet and Donnie Sanders left a message on November 7, 2022:
We had occasions to be with Mark at the passing of both his mom and dad and other occasions at family gatherings when his niece, Heather Love, was our daughter-in-law. We found Mark to be a friendly, loving and kind-hearted young man. We always felt comfortable in his presence and found friendship with his sisters and brothers, especially his sister, Cindy. We extend our condolences, love and prayers to all the family at this time and hope they each find comfort and peace in knowing others care for them at this time and in the days ahead. ❤️?
