I can’t speak of favorite memories because I didn’t have the chance to know Mary. I can, however, speak of favorite “echoes” . . . because her character, love, and kindness continue to resound through each of her children’s lives. Specifically, my friends and Mary’s sons, Henry & Ford display a kindness & generosity that honors her life and serves as a living memory, an “echo,” of a woman who surely was an exemplary mother and friend, herself. Blessings to you all as you re-member and grieve. Logan Weber+

Dear Ashley, So sorry to hear that your lovely Mom is gone! Though I had no idea of her multiple talents til I read her obit in the paper, mostly I remember her understanding and calmness when you, as a new first grader to my class, fell off the monkey bars! I have fond memories of her as your Mom and as a neighbor in Northwood Hills. Know that you have my very deepest sympathy and love.

Johnny, Carol, and family, my parents were among Pack and Mary’s closest friends. I have so many beautiful memories of them and you three children. Mary and I became reacquainted when our daughter Jill and Ashley were classmates, and Carol’s daughter was a student of mine. In recent years I saw her at the Y, and she surprised me by greeting me with the words, “You taught me how to apply lipstick!” What a precious, productive life she led pursuing her interests and benefitting our community in countless ways! Please accept our deepest sympathies and treasured memories.

Ashley, Sam, Henry and Ford, what a lovely tribute to your mother. I loved seeing all the pictures of a truly beautiful person. Mary was always so positive and joyful. I saw her a few years ago shortly after she had been diagnosed and was so impressed with her positive, determined attitude. David and I regret that a prior commitment won’t allow us to attend the visitation and funeral, but know our thoughts and hearts are with you in celebration of a life well lived. Sincerely, Carol and David Mann

Mary was so beautiful. A loving, giving, kind woman with a compassion for helping others. I remember her at GHS in High School and how creative and talented she was in all she accomplished. Her family, all so dear. So sad she struggled with Alzehimers so long. My thoughts and prayers to all her family. Tina Ann Milsap
