Maryann Tomaszkiewicz Meade, 82, of Greenville passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.
Born March 5, 1935 in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lottie Banascak Tomaszkiewicz.
Maryann was a homemaker and was then employed until retirement in California as a corporate headhunter, placing people in high level positions as well as securing employment for ex-cons. She also worked for Huntington Long Island Arts Council, where she was privileged to work with artists such as Don McClean and Harry Chapin. She was gifted in gab and song, never meeting a stranger and finding a reason to break out in a show tune for even the silliest of reasons. She performed in church choir and in a variety of shows, as well as enjoyed singing at weddings. Maryann has even performed as Barbara Streisand.
She attended church at Triune Mercy Center.
Maryann was a staunch supporter of her son, Jonathan, and worked lovingly and tirelessly for him to achieve his full potential.
Surviving are five children, Erin Meade, Beth Meade Leavitt (Thomas), Jennifer Panzner (Dwayne), Jonathan Meade, and Kevin Meade (Kristin); nine grandchildren, Nick and Austin Leavitt, Tyler and Conner Panzner, Sarah Villeneuve, and Flint, Perry, Aiden and Clara Meade; two sisters, Marjorie Macdonald and Christine Laulhere (Louie); and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
