Jim I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son. It seems like yesterday I would come to your house in my ups truck and he was just a child. The last time I saw him he reminded me of the yellow cur dog you gave me. The family is in my prayers.

I was heartbroken yesterday to hear of Matt's passing. I have fond memories of he and Mikey from our days as kids rambling around Chestnut Mountain. One of the few sleepovers I ever had as a kid was with them up there. Matt was always his own person and was a free spirit. Wish I could have known him better through the years. My prayers for his family. Javan Browder

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I remember Matt as a student. He was generous, kind, vital and effortlessly athletic, but he traded on none of those considerable assets, and probably would be surprised to have them noted, When my son was searching for a new bike we went to a number of stores, including Sunrift, where we were served by Matt. At the end of a weekend that involved countless possibilities, Aaron said: "I want the one Matt showed us. I liked him, so I trust him." I am bereft. God bless all those who loved him.

We are so very saddened to hear about Matt’s passing. We live in the same neighborhood and met Matt last year during a community project. He was so nice and always willing to jump in and help out. Heartfelt prayers for your family.

I’m just shocked and saddened by this. Matt was a great friend who I’ve known for at least 25 years. He just messaged me earlier this month to express his condolences about my brother Caleb’s death. My prayers go out to his family.

May you rest in peace and rise in glory, my dear nephew. I’ve known you and loved you since you were a small boy and I shall miss you. Your last message to me, sent only four weeks ago, was: ‘Thank you again for your prayers I love you and your family and I hope all is well on your end! It's love from our family,’ I’m sorry we didn’t manage to talk subsequently as we had hoped. I feel so much for Jessica and Liam and your dear parents, as I do for Mikey and Sara and their families. I give heartfelt thanks that were recently received into the Church and pray that you will be embraced by the loving arms of Jesus, to whom you committed yourself, and whose love is stronger than death. I love you, dear Matt, and shall continue to pray for you and you family. Lux aeterna luceat eis, Domine, cum sanctis tuis in aeternum, quia pius es. Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis, quia pius es.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. My memories are you stem primarily around a trip where we visited one for a while when I was in third grade. You were younger than me but I thought you were so incredibly brave because you would ride this giant swing across the valley. The swing soared across the valley and seemed to fly forever. I was so afraid to get on it, but you held it and convinced me to try it. It was not nearly as scary as I thought it would be, and the feeling of skimming across the tops of the bushes is something I have never forgotten. You also helped me catch tadpoles or minnows or something in the creek behind the little cottage on the hill with a little green net. These were fond memories. My prayers are with your family and your son. May they find comfort and peace.

I worked with Matt at Jeff Lynch and he shared his love for watches and outdoors, but most he shared his love of family, and his son. Even though it was a short time, I knew how much he worked for his family and there life together. Prayers for God's grace upon his family.
