Matthew Fulton Smith

Matthew Fulton Smith, of Simpsonville, was born into eternal glory on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was the infant son of Paul and Kathleen Smith.

Matthew Fulton was named after St. Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist and two dear family friends who preceded him in death; and Venerable Fulton J. Sheen, Archbishop and Evangelist.

Matthew is survived by his sisters: Natalie, Genevieve, Felicity, Anastasia, Cecilia, Mary Agnes, and Josephine Smith; his grandparents, Arthur and Mary Smith, James J. and Julie Rixner; three uncles, James B. Rixner, Kevin Smith (Olivia), Peter Smith (Tran Thi Thu); cousins, Briar Wilcox, Winslow Smith and Charles Smith.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Miriam Smith.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
