Mike was a great friend I enjoyed working with him and for him he sponsored me through out my racing career with parts and knowledge Mike had a way of just putting his big paw on you shoulder and squeeze you and say good job last time I saw him was at the dmv office when I got my ticket for my place in line he was across the room he got up and came over to me and gave me a big long hug we sat and talked for 20 minutes or so. He will be greatly missed

My son Kenneth Campbell worked for Mike and Jack in the 80's. Kenneth's love for racing grew as he worked for the Laughlin's. He learned much there that he used to go on to be Crew Chief for several NASCAR teams. I am sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Thoughts and prayers are with the family.

You have many friends in life but few have made the impact that Mike did. We have so many memories of Mike and his family and Laughlin Racing Products. Some of our best times and fond memories were spent racing with the Busch team. To Gail and all the kids, Jackie and Maggie y’all will always be family to us. We loved Mike and we are gonna miss him. I know he’s at peace and pain free. Probably done found all his old racing friends who’s gone on before. If there’s a race track in heaven that’s where they’ll all be.
