Ms. Mildred was a special lady. I was Shelly’s North Greenville roommate. I am from Indian Trail, NC and I stayed on campus most weekends. Shelly always went home to be with her Mom. Ms. Mildred made sure to send with Shelly a plate of food and ice tea so I would get a home cooked meal on Sunday. She always welcomed me when I would visit and made me feel like family. Her humor was infectious to all she met. You couldn't walk away from Mildred in anything less than just as good a mood as she was in. And wouldn't it be the LORD'S own blessing if more of us had such a gift to share within us.
