Mildred Louise Tollison, 90, wife of the late Ernest Tollison, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Minnie Holt Taffer. Mildred was a 1949 graduate of Parker High School and retired from Her Majesty Industries after a 38-year career as a seamstress and computer programmer.
She is survived by one brother Frank Ronald Taffer of Easley, SC; her daughters, Kathy Runion and Toni Aversa and husband, Anthony; six grandchildren, Travis Runion and wife Crystal, Sherri Braxton and husband David, Matt Tollison and wife Leah, Millie Hammond and husband Cliff, Charlie Runion and wife Natalie, and John Michael Seeley and wife Emily; 16 great grandchildren, David E. Braxton III, Caleb Runion and wife Mary Frances, AnnaLeigh Runion, Jonathan Braxton, Timothy Braxton, Abbey Runion, Joseph Braxton, Cora Runion, Josh Runion, Tyler Runion, Brody Runion, Anderson Tollison, Edwin Runion, Ridge Hammond, Stella Tollison, and Elliot James Ernest Seeley; and one great great granddaughter Annie Runion.
Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Tollison of Mauldin, SC; by a son, Ronald Edward Tollison; and by six sisters and two brothers, Viola Whitaker, Zola Simpson, Fleurdelis Hart, Flora Mae Stewart, Mary Ella Sweet, Edward Bruce Taffer, Jerry Helen Painter, and Johnny Taffer.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home in Simpsonville, SC followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon in the Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
