Clarence “Bud” Edward Fielder, 82, husband of the late Maxine Fielder, died Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Born in Perry County, OH, he was the son of the late Fred and Mildreth Fielder.
Bud was a member of True Life Church, and he spent his lifetime mentoring young Christian men. His favorite past time was fishing, and he liked to say, “some days I go out to catch fish and others days, I fish for followers of Christ.” Bud was a song leader at his church for years and he loved to sing for anyone who came to visit. He served his country as an Army Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Bernetta Anderson Brooks; three sisters, Paula Wilson, Margaret Boley and husband Ed, and Patricia Harris and husband, Steve; brother, Rev. Jim Fielder and wife, Wanda; friend, Tim McGuire; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Wigle and Jo Ann Pace.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast Chapel. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 19th in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
