Nancy M. Sola, 89, wife of the late Nicholas “Nick” Sola, Sr, died Sunday, August 13, 2023.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Nancy, who brought immeasurable joy and love to our lives.
Born in Palermo, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Angelina Ferrara Cipolla.
Nancy was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
Nancy was a shining example of kindness and selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her unwavering devotion to her family, particularly her cherished grandchildren, defined her life’s purpose.
Nancy was renowned for her delicious cooking, with her Sunday gravy becoming a cherished tradition. Those meals brought her family together in warmth and comfort, reflecting her nurturing nature and the love she poured into every aspect of her life.
Nancy’s presence was a beacon of light, instantly brightening any room she entered. Her genuine, kindhearted spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
As we bid farewell to Nancy, we hold onto the precious memories she gifted us with. Her legacy of love, generosity, and warmth will forever be an inspiration to us all. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she shared so freely during her time with us.
She is survived by her son, Nicholas Sola and wife, Darlene; daughter, Susan Manbodh and husband, John; grandchildren, Nicholas, Santino, Gianna, and Nico Sola and Samantha Manbodh; and two brothers, Salvatore Cipolla and Leonard Cipolla.
In addition to her husband of 58 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Cipolla and Maria Cipolla; and one brother, Vincent Cipolla.
A visitation will be held Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 21st at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church followed by entombment in the Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.
