Bishop Nathaniel Dickson, 83, husband of Marcella Mobley Dickson, died Sunday, May 31, 2020.
Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late John and Freddie Maxwell Dickson.
Bishop Dickson was Pastor of Miracle Works Ministry. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughters, Bernadette Snowden, Natalie Peoples, Monique Owens, Narita Dickson Cathcart, Marita Dickson Jones; sons, Norman Dickson, and Anthony Dickson; grandchildren, Marquise Dickson, Norman Emmanuel Dickson Jr., Bishop Cathcart, Deacon Cathcart, Jeremiah Cathcart, Zion Jones, Divine Jones, Zion Laney, Twan Morrison, Tyler Morrison, Tonya Morrison, Randy Dupree Jr., and Beverly Stewart.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon "Vanessa" German; and a son, Nathan Dickson.
Due to the CDC and State of South Carolina public guidelines for social distancing, there will be no public visitation period for the family to receive friends. For those wishing to view, the body will lie in state Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Southeast Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes. A private funeral service will be held Friday, June 5, 2020 with burial in the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
