Nellie I. Turner

August 4, 1936 - April 13, 2020

Nellie I. "Jean" Turner, 83, of Greenville, wife of the late David D. Turner, died Monday, April 13, 2020 at home.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Buford and Ollie Gresham Ivester.

Mrs. Turner was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Jean retired from Steel Heddle Manufacturing in Greenville. She loved helping others and working in her yard.

She is survived by sons, David Turner (Amy) and William Turner (Barbara Whelan); granddaughter, Sara Jordan Tuohy (Joseph); and great-grandchildren, Bella and Grayson.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

A private family service will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thrive Church, 404 Vardry Street, Greenville, SC 29601, Praise Cathedral Church of God, 3390 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, SC 29651, or to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
